MSE Graduate Student Receives All-S.T.A.R. Fellowship

Materials Science and Engineering Graduate Student Elizabeth “Beth” Tennyson recently received a 2017-2018 All-S.T.A.R. Fellowship for academic excellence and outstanding achievement as an MSE graduate research assistant. Tennyson also works in the Institute for Research in Electronics and Applied Physics (IREAP).

Currently, Tennyson is funded by the UMD Graduate Student Deans Dissertation Fellowship. Her research focuses on functional imaging at the nanoscale of solar cell materials, such as CIGS and perovskites. Originally from Wisonsin, Tennyson received a B.S. in Physics from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse in 2012. She is advised by MSE Assistant Professor, Marina Leite, is on track to graduate in the Spring of 2018.
