UMD feels like home to me - the versatility and flexibili
ty of MSE peaked my interest.

Conceptualizing a problem, and being able to visualize it
, is the first major thing you can do to try to solve it.
The MSE Department was amazing - I felt a connection to e
very professor, all of my classmates.
I feel a duty to research topics that will optimally bene
fit the rest of the population.
