Professor Christou hosts the Federation of Materials Societies Award Reception

Prof. Christou on December 7, 2005 presided over the Board of Trustees Meeting of the Federation of Materials Societies (FMS) and then hosted the National Materials Awards Reception at the National Press Club, Washington, DC. Prof. Christou outlined the directions to be take by FMS in 2006 and also answered questions concerning the future of materials science. In attendance were many government officials from agencies and laboratories such as (l-r) Aris Christou (President, FMS), Dr. Bhakta Rath (NRL) Dr. Arden Bement (Director, NSF) and Dr. Lyle Schwartz (Director, ASM Education Foundation).
