Preparing for the Unexpected: Emergency Preparedness in Research Operations
Abstract: Research operations can be disrupted by events like utility outages, severe weather, and pandemic shutdowns. Incorporating emergency preparedness into your research operations can not only improve resiliency for these events, but also improve your safety management every day.
Biographies: Miriam Sharp Ph.D. is the Assistant Director of Academic and Laboratory Safety at the University of Maryland Department of Environmental Safety, Sustainability and Risk (ESSR). Mary Dorman is the Executive Director of the ESSR Office of Research Safety.
