Wood Fibers in Technology: Technical Report from MRS meeting
Hongli Zhu, a postdoctoral researcher in the Materials Science Department at the University of Maryland, presents the ways wood fibers and paper can be used in nanotechnology devices. This talk was presented at the 2014 MRS Fall Meeting.
She discusses the chemistry and optical properties of wood fibers, their use in transparent and flexible nanoelectronics, and the use of nanocellulose as a building block for functional fibers.
