DRUM is the Digital Repository at the University of Maryland. Currently, it hosts three types of materials: faculty-deposited documents, a UMD Library-managed collection of UMD theses and dissertations, and collections of technical reports. Repository documents can be searched and accessed for free by any web user. DRUM also enables users to create specialized communities to group related material, review submissions, or create virtual publications.
DRUM document files will be maintained long-term by UMD Libraries. Each repository item includes descriptive data for search engines, and has a permanent URL. UMD is committed to maintaining the service into the future.
