Title: Let's Talk Safety
Abstract:
What does it mean to work safely? What does it mean to take risk? If I comply with every regulation, am I guaranteed to be safe enough? The art of discovery requires exploring the unexplored. How can I discover new things if I am boxed into compliance protocols, SOPs and requirements? Together we will explore some basic actions we need to take and why. We are also going to learn a process for identifying and controlling research risks - a simple process to follow even when we are venturing into uncharted fields of science.
