Briber Participates In Project Supported By $14M NSF Grant
Materials Science and Engineeering Profossor Robert M. Briber and coworkers have been named subcontractors on a 5-year, $14 million National Science Foundation (NSF) grant given to CalTech entitled "IMR-MIP DANSE—Distributed Data Analysis for Neutron Scattering Experiments". The portion of the work produced at the University of Maryland's A. James Clark School of Engineering will be to develop software and modeling for the analysis of neutron reflectivity data. Neutron reflectivity is a powerful technique for measuring the structure of thin films with sub-nanometer resolution in the direction of the film thickness. Briber's team will receive $1.3 million of the total grant.Published October 25, 2006
