Senior NSF Advisor in Nanotechnology to Speak in College Park

Dr. Mihail C. Roco

The NanoCenter at Maryland is proud to announce Dr. Mihail C. Roco, senior advisor to the National Science Foundation, will be giving a lecture titled, "The Changing Face of Nanotechnology in a Global Context," on November 1. The talk will be held in the Kim Building Lecture Hall from 12 to 2PM.

Dr. Roco is a highly regarded leader in nanotechnology. He is a key architect of the National Nanotechnology Initiative, and coordinated the preparation of the National Science and Technology Council reports on “Nanotechnology Research Directions” (NSTC, 1999), “Nanostructure Science and Technology” (Kluwer Acad., 1999), “National Nanotechnology Initiative” (NSTC, 2000), and “Societal Implications of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology” (Kluwer Acad., 2001).
